It is hard to imagine the Sydney rave scene without the likes of Abel El 'Toro. A promoter who pioneered many types of raves and was one of the major driving forces behind the Happy Valley parties held in Sydney in the '90s. He is also remembered for being one of the top Sydney DJs with a unique sound that is quickly recognised as belonging to 'Abel'. Sydney Rave History reporter Benjamin Sullivan has compliled an in-depth interview with him. (mobile friendly version click here)

Chester became a regular DJ at most raves from 1995 onwards. He was known for his uplifting morning sets that would get the crowd back 

on their feet and going off.

Jac Vidgen held over 30 RAT parties in the 80’s and early 90s. Raves and dance parties owe them a debt of gratitude as they paved the way for large scale dance events in Sydney

We have a chat with Rob the Radiodog who was part of the Buck Rogers Ravers crew and were responsible for some of the best warehouse raves in Sydney.

He started and ran the Hardcore Café behind the Agincourt Hotel in the Sydney CBD. He ran ‘Munch’ productions with his wife – A mobile food and beverage set up at raves.
